Max the Cat Award

Zoe got her Max the Cat Award today! Many of you have heard about this endeavor over the last couple of months, but for those that haven't, let me fill you in. Max the Cat is the reading series her school uses. It is a four-part series and each series contains 10 books and 3 worksheets per book. When she completes a series, the teacher makes a laminated award and presents it to her in front of the class (and makes a big production out of it). Then she gets to choose two friends to take around to every classroom to announce her award. It's a pretty big deal to a 4 year old! She completed Series 1 yesterday, so today was a big day for her. When I picked her up tonight, she was still carrying around her award. Her teacher said she was so excited that she literally talked about it all day and carried it around with her everywhere she went. She even took it to dance class tonight (thus the reason for the leotard in the photos). So, congrats to my little girl who's growing up so fast!
