First Day of Kindergarten

I know it's been a really, really, really long time since I've posted anything and my plan was to add an update from Spring through Summer, but something has happened to our computer and I can't find our picture files. I know they're still on here somewhere, but it's going to take awhile to locate them, so let's forget the past and begin with the excitement of right now. Zoe started Kindergarten last Thursday. She was a little nervous at first (because she loved her previous "school" and friends) but after the first half day she was hooked. There are 18 kids in her class and 19 in the other kindergarten class and they do quite a bit together. She had her first mass on Friday and was excited about meeting her prayer partner (an older child in the school that they paired her with for the year), but declared that church was a little boring because first she had to put her fingers in dirty water, then she had to be really quiet, then she had to sit, stand, kneel, sit, stand, kneel and it was rather tiring. She still had a great day and she is really enjoying meeting new friends, wearing her "dresses", and most of all playing on the playground (that's what kindergarten is all about anyway, right???). After years of stress over the school process, Rich and I know that we made the right decision. Everyone has been so extremely nice and welcoming and we're already meeting families that happen to live in our neighborhood. Here are some pics from the first day:
